HAPPY MAY!
Chapter 5 of 12
It’s that time of the year again! We will be hosting a meet and greet this month for anyone interested in learning more about MVAR Community Foundation. We have annual elections coming up in June so this would also be a great opportunity for anyone who has an interest in serving on the Community Foundation Board.
The MVAR Community Foundation Board has been working hard to plan our first ever Community Foundation Golf Tournament! The Golf Tournament will be held on August 17th at McNary Golf Course! We are looking for event sponsors as well as golf participants.
|
If you or anyone you know are interested in becoming a sponsor or playing in the tournament, please reach out. This is going to be an exciting event! We would also invite any volunteers to help with this fundraiser. As the tournament concludes, we will be hosting a BBQ dinner that is open for all who are interested in attending. Just make sure to purchase your dinner tickets (Dinner is included for golfers).
As you may already know, we raise funds throughout the year so our Community Foundation has the opportunity to grant funds to local nonprofits as well as to fund the MVAR Children’s Christmas Party. We are always looking for ways to give back to our community. If you are aware of any local non-profits that are in need of funds, please send them our way to have them complete a grant application!
We wouldn’t be able to do what we do without you and your incredible support to the MVAR Community Foundation and community as a whole!
Thank you for your support,
Sarie Scott, Community Foundation President

Join the Government Affairs Task Force to work on the NAR Community Outreach Placemaking Grant Project!
The NAR Placemaking Grant would help fund a project to create a new, outdoor public space on an unused site or improvements to an existing space. The goal is to strengthen REALTORS® ties with our community, develop relationships with public officials, and to spur economic growth and development through the creation of public gathering places.
The maximum award is $7,500 and – good news – the 10% “skin in the game” financial contribution requirement is waived for 2023.
The Task Force will oversee identifying, planning, and completing the placemaking project. We may explore working with other community partners to expand the project beyond the grant award limitations.
|
Do you want to join this exciting project and be a part of REALTORS® giving back to our community? Sign up for this “Gov. Affairs TASK FORCE” by May 15 at:
